OPENCART CASE STUDY / TV PARTS

tvonderdelen.nlFind the right part. With a clearer path.

For TV and PARTS, we upgraded the OpenCart storefront around the way people actually find television components: by the sticker number, the type of part and the brand. A fresh design brings that journey together, from the first search to the product information.

THE CHALLENGE

A television model alone is not enough.

Different boards and revisions can be used within a television range. Visitors need to identify the number on the component sticker, compare the execution and understand the condition of the part. We made those practical decisions central to the browsing experience.

01 / PART-NUMBER FINDER

From a sticker number to relevant results.

The prominent search field invites visitors to enter the number on the component sticker. In the header, live suggestions show matching parts with a photo, name, brand, price and availability. Shoppers can open a result or continue to the full results page.

  • A direct search route from the homepage and header.
  • Suggestions and full search use the same catalogue matching.
  • Clear guidance to check the sticker, revision and connections.

03 / CLEARER PRODUCT INFORMATION

More context before adding a part to the basket.

Product pages bring the code, brand, availability, price and identification guidance together. Condition labels have an explanation alongside the buying journey, including the difference between Brand New, used and factory-new parts. Information about testing, warranty and shipping is easier to find.

  • Sticker-number guidance beside the purchase details.
  • Condition explanations on the homepage and product pages.
  • Specific guidance for complete sets and what they include.

BEYOND THE HOMEPAGE

The upgrade continues throughout the store.

A consistent shopping journey

Account pages, cart and checkout received a coherent visual treatment, with clearer forms and payment-return messages.

Five storefront languages

Dutch, English, German, French and Italian support the same navigation and shopping experience.

Brand routes and performance

We corrected legacy manufacturer links and reduced repeated server-side work while preserving current product, price and stock information.

A focused new design

A distinctive circuit-board illustration, readable product cards and practical help content make the specialist catalogue easier to explore.

THE RESULT

A store that helps visitors make an informed choice.

The upgrade connects search, navigation and product guidance into one coherent journey. Shoppers have more useful context when comparing parts, while the store keeps the depth of its specialist catalogue.
